Vibe Energy Gum

Vibe Energy Gum

Ten pieces of gum in one tube. To me, that seemed like a good deal. I mean you have to figure that at 40mg of caffeine per piece, if you have two pieces, that’s 70 cents a serving. The average cup of coffee has about 80mg of caffeine in it right? And that usually costs far more than 70 cents, right? Plus, after your coffee, your breath is not exactly minty fresh. At least mine is not.

Vibe Energy Gum has a blend of caffeine, ginseng, and guarana, AND is sugar-free. The gum has a minty flavor, and has an interesting characteristic that most of the gum products, caffeine or not, do not have. Vibe Energy Gum is made using compressed powder. It is pressed into a little tablet looking piece of gum that resembles a mint. When you first start chewing you get the sensation that you have just started eating a piece of old dried up gum. It is kind of crumbly and grainy. After about ten seconds though, the graininess is gone and it has the texture of any other gum. Kind of cool trick I think! The flavor was a decent minty flavor, with no bitterness, which I found to actually last longer than I expected. Many of the other gums I have tried last about 10 minutes before you get the bland rubbery taste. This gum lasted 15 to 20 minutes before the majority of the flavor was gone. Now to me, that is long enough. With the oral absorption you get with caffeine in gum products, 95% is absorbed within the first 10 minutes anyhow. So tell me why would I need the flavor to last 30-40 minutes?

Since I ate two pieces of the gum I took in about 80mg of caffeine. That was enough to perk me up after the meal I had just eaten. Now, it wasn’t like the caffeine buzz I get from some other products that have 150-200mg caffeine, but it was enough to keep me going for a couple of hours.

Overall, I am a fan of this product. It comes in a cool aluminum tube that resembles a cigar container, has a good flavor, interesting texture experience, decent kick, and reasonably priced. Negatives? Don’t really have any that come to mind.

So.........Here are Caffeinedaddy's rankings. (10 out of 10 is obviously the best)

Joe Pokes Caffeinated Coffee Flavored Toothpicks

When I first heard of Joe Pokes coffee flavored toothpicks I was picturing myself sitting at a dinner table, stuffed from too much food, with a toothpick in my mouth. I was thinking to myself, a coffee flavored toothpick with caffeine in it. Hmmmm… No more cup of coffee on that already packed full belly! I also envisioned myself sitting at one of my kid’s baseball games using them to pick the sunflower seeds out of my teeth. Either way it goes, everyone has uses for toothpicks. Many people also have uses for caffeine, and love the taste of coffee. Put them all together and Joe Pokes is what you have.

The Pokes come in a little tube that holds about 20 or so in it. They smell like coffee, sweet coffee at that. As soon as you put the Poke in your mouth you taste it as well so, it’s of to a good start for this product. The taste of the coffee was smooth which is what I prefer personally. The flavor lasted a decent amount of time, say 20 minutes, which is about how long the Poke lasted. Now, I am an aggressive toothpick twirler so if you are one of those who just put it in you mouth and let it sit, it might last longer. Since it is made out of wood, I am not sure if the flavor of these lasts much longer than that because you can only get so much to absorb into it. But, 20 minutes for a toothpick seemed to be sufficient for me. Plus, if you like, you can probably just keep putting them in. The caffeine kick was about as smooth as the flavor so I didn’t really notice that I was more awake or alert, I just became more awake and alert. Again, you can only pack so much into a little piece of wood, right? A couple of Pokes and that was all that I needed. There was a good after taste, good coffee and cream flavor during, a pick me up amount of caffeine, and a useful delivery source.

I liked them. I think you would also.

KOMA UNWIND Relaxation Beverage

The stores are littered with them! You know what I am talking about. The billion dollar a year industry that keeps us up late at night. Yea that’s right! The ENERGY DRINK!! Small cans, Large cans, MEGA large cans, two, four, five and six ounce shots. Every possible flavor imaginable. Combined that with the coffee I drink, caffeinated candy I eat, and who knows how much sugar and B vitamins I consume, and I don’t stand a chance of ever getting some shut-eye.

Hold the presses! Recently I ran across a new product. Forget that. A knew category. Brilliant! The anti-energy drink. What the??? Guess what? My problems have been answered. For real. Koma unwind is one of the first anti energy drinks in the field, and it’s a small field at that. Get it? “KOMA” like unconscious . “UNWIND”, like chill out for real. This stuff really caught me off guard.

So here is how it went:

Typical day. On the run with kids sports, cleaning house, doing stuff for the wife. Pot and a half of coffee by noon. Two energy drinks by mid-day. 2 ounce energy shot at 5PM to keep me going the rest of the day. And I’m not lying. Usually I am up until midnight-1AM before my mind finally crashes with the rest of my body. But not on this night. Nope. About 9PM I went into my computer room to surf who knows what. I decided to try KOMA UNWIND out. The first thing I noticed was that it was 12 ounces instead of 16. Don’t need to pee the bed now do I? Pop the top and pour. Had it chilling in fridge all day but put it over ice anyhow. It was purple. Drank it in about 15 seconds. The only thing I have been able to come up with as a flavor is “lightly carbonated grape kool-aid”. Which is definitely not a bad thing. Since it was 12 ounces it didn’t fill me up like 16 ounces would have. O.K. Now what? I guess I’ll start trying to “chill” like they suggest. About 20 minutes later the computer screen started looking like it does at midnight. Real hazy. I yawned and looked at the clock. It was only 9:30. Hmmm. About 10 minutes later I had to move my rear to the couch. I just kicked back, turned on the tube, and enjoyed the ride. That is of course until my teenager came trouncing in the door. I found that I had at some point fallen asleep sitting up, with my head tilted to the side. Not going to admit to drooling, but I did have to wipe my chin. It was 10 PM. WHAT??? I have not been asleep before midnight in……. I can’t even tell you how long. It’s the Holy Grail I thought to myself. It was the TKO. This stuff has a future in my household. For SURE.

So, what caused this knock-out punch you ask? Valerian root, Melatonin, Rose Hips, and Milk Thistle. “Relax the body, mind, and soul” is their slogan. REALLY?? It should state somewhere on the can “make sure your near a soft cushioned surface”. It knocked me out like an elephant tranquilizer. Loved every minute of it though. The best part about it is in the morning. You can’t tell you ever drank anything. No sleep hang-over. This stuff is so good I have told every one of my friends and family about it.

Revive Energy Mints

two mint blister pack
By now, who hasn’t heard of a “Super-food”? Acai Berry, Mangosteen, and Gogi Berries, all in the same product, packs a real punch of health benefits. When these three ingredients, along with a proprietary Energy Blend of Guarana-Caffeine (equal to an entire energy drink), Green Tea, AND Ginseng, are all packed into a little blue mint, somebody is on to something.

Being honest, I was a little surprised when I first tasted the mint. For some reason, and maybe it was sub-conscious, I was expecting a pepper”mint” or a spear”mint”, or something to that nature. That is not what I got. I still tasted a strong minty flavor but pleasantly enough, it had a hint of sweetness to it; almost fruity. I was thinking to myself, “man, this a pretty good!”. There was no grittiness or bitterness to it like some caffeine products are known for either. Since it was pretty late in the day I figured I would have a good opportunity to test out the claims of the energy blend. I was somewhat tired after long day at the office and the kick I got from just one mint perked me right up.  The other claim, that it lasts 8 hours, would soon be put to the test. Revive had to coin the term “microencapsulated caffeine formulation” (which I copied from their website). But basically, what it means is that it is a sustained release caffeine product. Claim two proven true! I am not sure if it was exactly 8 hours or not but it lasted me the rest of the evening and then some.

Overall, I was very impressed with the flavor, kick, and duration of this product.  Since it comes in a two-pack blister pack (what I have at Caffeinedaddy.com) it is reasonably priced as well.

Excellent Diet Pill

I Sold this product to a nurse that I work with because she was trying to find something similar to Adipex. She started taking the pills on a Thursday and by Monday when I saw her again back at work she was like a completely different person. I don't mean she had lost weight yet, which she had, about 2 pounds, but I mean she was excited and giddy that she felt great taking this product. With the Adipex she felt jittery and short of breath often. Sure she said Adipex worked great but was worried about the side effects, cost, ease of getting the product etc... She exhibited none of the same effects except the energy from the caffeine. One word that she used to describe ULTRA EPHRINE plus was "smooth". With 30mg synephrine and 200mg caffeine, this product seems to be very comparabile to the products that contain ephedrine. The nurse also liked the fact that she didn't have to travel to another state to get it. The price was right with her as well. 100 capsules for $19.99. 100 capsules is enough for 30 days. Taking a pill prior to each meal means 3 a day. The nurse followed the instructions and said she felt like she had to force herself to eat because she was not hungry. Overall, this nurse stated that she was extremely happy with the product and says that if things keep on the track that they are going she will continue to use this product until she reaches her desired weight. What else could one ask for in a product?

Since I didn't try this product I asked her to rate it. (out of 10)

I've got two boys that play travel baseball and I spend a huge portion of my summer at the ball diamonds. My wife used to get mad at me because before just about every game I would stop at the gas station and get a bag of sunflower seeds and a diet Mountain Dew. 3-4 dollars probably 4 times a week adds up I guess. My wife sure thinks it does! When I came across caffeinated sunflower seeds on the web I figured I had a solution to the problem. After the seeds came in I was suprised at the size of the bag for the price. It seemed kind of smaller than I was expecting, maybe it is because I go through a lot of seeds on a weekly basis. When I tasted them I was pleasantly suprised at the flavor. The seeds come in four flavors: Honey BBQ, Dill Pickle, Salt and Pepper, and Original. I was trying the Honey BBQ and think that they are just as good as any BBQ seeds I have had. My son tried the Dill Pickle and liked them thought I thought they were a little less powerful than they could have been. But with Dill Pickle that's not always a bad thing. Getting back to the portion size, I discovered that because each bag has 145mg caffeine in them my need for so many at one time decreased and the 1.75 ounce bag was more than enough for a two hour game. I had a hard time believing it but it was true. I had a bottled water (non caffeinated type) with them and felt the kick enough that I was into the game but not jittery. The seeds themselves were larger than avererage and had a good coating on them. The caffeine is said to be infused into the seed so whats on the outside is for flavor. Overall the product is worth the money for the size to me because of the amount needed to keep busy.....thanks to the caffeine.

When I first heard about this product I was scratching my head. O.K. I thought. I like beef jerky and I love caffeine. After I got the samples in the first thing I noticed was the interestingly cool packaging. I know, I know, packaging whatever. But, it's kind of cool with that evil bull kind of looking logo. So the second thing I noticed is that I could not find the word "caffeine" anywhere on the label. Odd I thought. The words "Flavored With Guarana" were on the front so I googled it. Guarana is a fruit from Brazil that has a bean or seed, or something that has like 2 1/2 times more caffeine in it than a coffee bean. Lets give it a try I thought. When I opened the package I got an immediate wiff of good smelling stuff. It was a sweet smell and you could just tell it was going to be tasty. And it was. The most important part of beef jerky for me is the tenderness. This has a tenderness like no other "beef jerky" I have ever had. There are some nugget products at c-stores that are tender but they are really processed. This is REAL jerky. The flavor was something like a sweet terriyaki but not. Tough to pinpoint but it was really tasty. The samples I had came in a one or two ounce bag. The two ounce bag was enough for me even though I can eat pounds of jerky if unattended. Maybe it was the caffeine that led my mind away from eating more but I was satisfied. Overall this was an excelent product that tasted realy good, had a caffeine kick, and was reasonably priced. Only negative is you have to wash your hands when your done because it is sticky. Thats how tender it is.
